Dear all,
My friend is trying to get into her 1st full-time job. Previously she worked as a UI UX designer for multiple clients (freelance). But she couldn't manage to get an interview call. She is an excellent UI UX designer and an illustrator. If anyone has any options, kindly comment below, I will share her resume. She is a btech graduate with 2 year experience in ui ux designing/illustration field.

Use gpt. Prompt it to act like an ats, compare jd and resume and respond with a percent match, give keyword recommendations to increase match percentage. I got my match to 97 percent, applied, got an interview request next day.
For the keywords recommendations, do you also ask GPT to provide?
ATS to me is like a job recruiter lazy way of working. Plus it should be renamed to “Aryan Tracking System” because for rearranging my resume constantly and have a free “ATS” checker stated that I have a 90% score with no success. To add I’m non-white so 🤷♂️
So what is it since you are the “Data Analyst”.
ChatGPT does a decent job reconciling a job post and resume with a secondary step of a human reviewing and making edits. Version 3.5 is free.
It tailors the resume to the job posting/ job req.
Do you have a specific prompt you use for ChatGPT to get the best results?
My view of the ATS is well...
The point is, they are the gatekeeper.s. Resumes need to cross the T's and rot the i's which means ticking off key words without keyword loading a resume.
This is why resumes need to be tailored for every job. But, when applying to so many just to an interview, that gets old real fast.
Having an AI rewrite your resume to match skills and experience with a job description is essential.
A tool like jobs can can tell you how close you are.
Just remember to double check whatever ChatGPT produces so your resume is factual.
I wouldn't imagine that doing so would hurt. It may not really optimize your resume, but if it gives a better change at getting an interview, I'd give it a shot.
Yes it's helped me get interviews in the past.
The auto scan sites just use AI and spit out generic feedback and a low score so you’ll pay them to fix it. There are just general rules you can follow to help with ATS. If you want to take the extra step then use a site with real humans to do a review. I ended up using kantan hq and they reformatted everything for me. Helped a lot.
