I’m a PM with similar background. Started as a BA, switched into PM as a consultant, then left for industry.
Certain companies require a more hands on technical background for PM roles (Google being the most notable, but many others do too). The key is just finding companies that are fine with a more functional background. As G1 said, Amazon is fairly well known to not absolutely require a technical background.
But don’t limit yourself to FAANG. People get too hung up on that. Fine if it’s a goal in the long run, nothing against those companies whatsoever, just for your first PM role, look at a broader set of companies and go from there.

Keep going and you’ll find something. A lot of opportunity out there!

You could apply to amazon and you might get an offer. Some smaller companies like square or slack might be more selective

Well F/G are the toughest, then digital natives like slack and square imo would rather promote their own since a lot of the job is internal stakeholder management and understanding culture and tech stack. Amazon moves fast and naturally has a lot of openings.
I thought route of non-PM role to PM transfer at Google would be easier and I think it’s an easier route but still objectively difficult
