I applied to Amazon job in LinkedIn . Got a mail to complete a Hacker Earth test from Amazon . But i felt not prepared and didn't even try it thinking i might fail and they might not shortlist me the next time when i apply again after preparing .
Do they track any data like who didn't attend the test so they can ignore them next time? Or if i prepare good enough and reapply again after 3 to 4 months would this cause any issue?

Abolish case interviews!! Simply because they stress me out.
I’m convinced it’s an industry wide play to create an extra obstacle to jump ship, so they can continue to under pay us
Someone from KPMG with 6 months after college experience tried to sell that it was like having 2 years of exp bc of the hard work he’s done and learned so far
People bash kpmg but the smartest guy I went to school with is at kpmg and the work he is doing is on par with Kearney.

Accenture Strategy certainly does, at least until SM level. Not sure what we do for MDs
I’m in industry so I can’t speak from experience, but why wouldn’t you? Seems like a way to potentially avoid duds that aren’t panning out at their current firms.

Case interviews are a joke
I’m an experienced hire and just went through interviews with 6 different firms for strategy roles. 5 of them required cases, 4 of them required multiple (>3) cases.
I see, so a pretty resounding yes for strategy firms, probably a bit less common in the B4/ACN/implementation realm I’d imagine

Are you asking broadly or did you mean to tag a specific firm?
Broadly! I’m curious to hear what different firms’ practices are!

We case interview for experienced hires (maybe not at Director and above)
I case studied out of the role I applied for and into a directorship... YMMV.

I had to for M level at D, ACN, PwC/S&. So it seems pretty standard yes.
Yes across the board. I interviewed as an experienced higher at EYP, S&, and a lot of boutiques. All of them had cases but some were more traditional than others.
