Hi all.
Has anyone in IBM been on bench for more than 4 months here?
I have been on bench for almost 4 months now & have been getting automated mails asking me to get assigned to a project by searching one by myself, else necessary action might be taken.
And are there any chances of being straightaway fired based on these automated mails?
I would genuinely need an advise from someone who is aware of this kind of situation.
Thanks in advance
Happy Republic Day 😊

Sort of. I do believe that DEI in its current form is dead. I know for me I've moved to a new model called DEI-EQ. It's made to reach beyond compliance-based dei and toward emotional intelligence based services.
It prioritizes impacting people on a personal level.
That's the best part. By lowering the bar to entrance (coming from a place of interconnectedness) people are naturally less defensive and more apt to find solutions based on data versus argue from a place of emotion, guilt, and fear.
Things will have to get a whole lot better with the economy before it will rebound. Most companies need profit centers and DEI is clearly a cost center.
No. I think the Supreme Court is going to destroy it just like they did affirmative action for college admissions.

I really believe that DEI can rebound and I believe that it will. Especially as the results of the virulent hate we see escalate, it’s important for us to be vigilant and protect those most at risk due to discriminatory policies and people
I see DEI shifting and possibly splitting into a few buckets: employment compliance, employee experience and community impact
DEI is a paradox, because if it ever fully succeeds, it will no longer be necessary. But as others have pointed out, EQ, Compliance, Community are all logical transitions.
