Yes. I always do this and this became an essential step for me every after shower. I don't like dry and flakey skin.
I do that too. I prefer putting on lotion right after drying off with a towel. I like to think that the sooner the better my skin is going to retain the moisture from the bath.
I don't think it's bad to depend on lotion. How else can we moisturize our skin? If you don't want to wear lotion, try some milk baths.
I actually hate putting on lotion. The sticky feeling icks me out. Maybe because I haven't found the perfect lotion. But yeah, I do suffer from skin tightening and itching when I don't get to put on some moisturizer.
try a body oil instead!

I’m too lazy to put lotion on after every shower but wish I did. Your skin will thank you when you’re older
I do this twice a day. I hate the feeling of having dry and ashy skin. Keeping my skin moisturized is non-negotiable for me.
Doesn't everyone? I do lotion in warmwe weather and oils in winter. I don't know of anyone who doesn't
Yes I do! Especially after a hot shower. I do it when my skin is still hydrated and my pores still open in order for the lotion to get absorbed better. I don't think putting lotion on every day makes your skin dependent
I've started using a body oil in the shower as a last step - right now i'm using vitamin E oil, and put it on when i'm in the shower so the moisture helps bring the oil deeper into the skin. it's working a lot better for me than any lotion i've tried.
You’re not alone. I do this as well. I haven’t really thought about whether it’s bad for the skin long term tbh
I think it's pretty much what everybody does. I do it most of the time, except on days when I'm in a hurry and forget to put on some lotion on.
I wait for at least 30 minutes after taking a bath/shower. I don't like the feeling of putting lotion on while my skin is still quite damp.
As someone with eczema, I couldn't live without lotion. My skin gets pretty dry so I can't miss this step.
I do too!
I wish I did it after every shower but in reality I only moisturise my body once or twice a week. But yes, my skin feels tight when I forget too many days in a row.
I used to be pretty religious about it when my eczema was bad, now I only do it if I've showered with really hot water and/or it's a really bad winter day...unfortunately, I've gotten lazy but am trying to bring the habit back!
I've done a bit of research about this. Interestingly, wearing moisturizers every day can cause exfoliating skin to stay stuck on your body rather than shedding naturally. Most people don't actually have "dry skin." Products that help with the regeneration of new, healthy skin cells are actually better than moisturizers. Here are some helpful tips for that process & caring for your skin from the inside out: https://www.healthline.com/health/skin-regeneration#how-to-boost

I don’t but I should more often! Just lazy after getting out of the shower because long hair takes so much effort to wash and comb and I want to be done with all the grooming.
I always moisturize after shaving though.
Your skin should not be feeling tight and itchy after your bath. If it is, your shower water is too hot or your soap is too harsh for your skin
I think everyone does except me. I never use anything
