Thoughts on Jumia stock?
Newbie to investing and never invested in a company that went through a reverse stock split.
In theory, I understand the market value should increase but I’m not seeing this reflected in the price and naturally my book value/ share is very disappointing.
A) When should I anticipate the stock appreciation to occur?
B) What’s the next move for companies that do this? Issue more shares?
TIA!

Recommendations for a Roth IRA?
I just hit $200k NW and it’s been 7 months since I made my post (link below) about hitting $100k NW in Dec ‘21.
I’m just mind-blown since it took me 2.5 years to get the first $100k and it’s snowballed from there. I’ve gone from $82.5k TC to $238k TC plus a $20k appreciation on a house I bought at the beginning of the year
Can’t really talk about finances with friends/family so this is the only place I can share milestones like this haha…we’ll see if I can hit $300k by EOY

I have been with them. No complaints. They are the lenders, they should be worried more. (Not a financial advice)
That's a nice long closing time. Where are you located? What are you buying?
Here in Bay Area seller market you have to go faster to compete.
That said yes they should be able to perform ...
Provident not some rag tag outfit.
Do you have a rate locked?
I am based out of Raleigh, NC and buying a Single family home. No i haven’t locked anything yet and planning to do ASAP. While my preferred lender MTh mortgage quoted 3.25%, broker has got me 2.625% with provident (both rates are for 5% down payment and for today) . In final numbers, Provident beats all others but never heard of provident before .
I have them as well for both our properties. Our second loan recently got sold to penny Mac. They’ve been good - no complaints at all. 42 days is fine. They took slightly longer for the second one because COVID / additional information due to the high real estate purchases happening etc.
I’ve been with them since 2018 and refinanced with them in 2020. No issues. They sold my loan both times and only administer the loan. It didn’t affect anything, still make payments on my phone app to provident.
I worked with provident on duplex mortgage. Good experience. Go with the broker rec.
Thanks for your reply. Can you tell me how long they took for loan process to complete. I have only 42 days for closing and so planning to lock in rate tomorrow. So not sure if I have enough time for them . Or May be I’m overthinking 😢
