Does anyone have advice for advancement from the APM role to PM. I have been stuck in my role as an APM for going on 4 years which is unheard of. I have been applying and interviewing but as we all know, the job market is terrible now and hiring managers are no longer flexible. Its been hard to get interviews if the industry isn't a direct match.

Should all the on-site interviews have a feedback of "hire/ strong hire" in order to proceed to HC?
What if one of rounds was not up to the mark?

Joined LTI recently in P3 band. However not allocated any project. Got a call from the resource management team to relocate, which I rejected upfront as I was promised a role in the location I am posted. It has been over 2 weeks since I am in bench. What shall be the next steps, shall I wait for some days or start looking for other jobs as getting a project looks difficult as there are minimalist responses.

I got an offer from Pwc IAC, HR confirmed over mail that this is a permanent work from home position. But not mentioned in the offer letter.

I got an email confirmation from HR, which simply says "you can work anywhere from India".

I am not willing to relocate to Bangalore, can i trust HR, if anyone working in pwc is aware of such policies please share your inputs.

How long is the recruitment process from E2E? From first time recruiter reaches out to when you sign offer letter? I know this will vary but very curious because the people I’m interviewing with talk about how long it is a lot

First time BDR here 3 months into my role and really struggling to book qualified meetings. The BDR that had my territory last was one of the worst performing on the team and since he inherited a new territory he’s been a top performer. Even my AE’s fully acknowledge how difficult it is to build a good pipeline in this territory. Any advice?

I’ve been in an in-house role since the beginning of the year and just gave 2 weeks’ notice to leave for a much better paying and better titled position. I’m trying to pivot to PM after >3 years in finance and I have a 2nd round interview with CPO this week. Company has 3.7 on Glassdoor with complaints about CEO, “bro-y” culture, and hard to wfh. It’s a data analytics company with 5 PMs, was bought by a PE firm this year, and has a new (female) CEO as of Oct. Role is 50/50 hybrid, pays well vs what I make, and most importantly would be a foot in the door to PM. Is this a good place to be for PM? What else do I need to find out to know for sure?

With product design questions, I struggle to identify user groups. Once I do everything starts flowing and I’m confident. But the initial identification of user groups is something I find challenging. What’s your go-to way of doing this? For example, the question “design a podcasting app for truck drivers.” What types of truck drivers can I select so that I can prioritize a user group to focus on and begin identification of pain points and solutions?
