I've got some friends who work remote jobs, and every day I grow more jealous of them during my one-hour commute.

Is it messed up to want my gf to move in with me for financial reasons? We have been together for 6 months and about 4 months in I knew I wanted her to move in. But then things got really rocky. After that happened I realized I now would have to wait for us to build some foundation before asking her to move in. I am now thinking about it and her moving in would be the easiest move ever for her. It would also save her about $1k/month. She is looking at places near my place also. (cont.)

Looking for some perspective: we just got a brand new $2,000 glass top 78" dining table. I asked my husband to please use a table cloth when he uses that table for d&d with his friends to avoid scratches and the loud dice on the table. He got upset that I "don't let him enjoy our stuff," that I "hate the sound of him having fun," and he says I am being unreasonable. From my perspective, I just want to preserve this expensive piece of furniture that we both love. Am I being unreasonable?

Hi everyone. Wanted to get your thoughts on this situation. I was in an extremely toxic relationship with a narcissist for over 10 years. The trauma and abuse resulted in responsive abuse meaning I would turn into a person I was not proud of. I could “justify” some of my actions because I was in survival mode at the time. My boyfriend and my backgrounds are very different and while we are fine with each other’s friends, I would never mesh our friend groups. This might be controversial but I work with several older Black folks, and it's from that I've experienced the most criticism or judgment at work.
