I currently work at a medium sized firm and have about two years experience in personal injury litigation. The billable hours and lack of work life balance are really getting to me and I am looking to switch to something else out of litigation, preferably in house. I am also looking to relocate to a different state. How do I go about properly marketing myself to companies that might not take my relocation and minimal experience seriously?

Does anyone in this bowl work at one of the major hospitals in the area? I have 6+ YOE in healthcare and I've been trying to go back into a hospital/clinic setting ever since I moved from DC last year.

Looking to exit from 195k base to a sales role base 140 + 40 in guaranteed bonus year 1 to make up for the lengthy sales cycle. Im a bit burned out now and I would love to take a long break. I'm hoping I can take a break (2 months) between the transition but is this a good reason to move though? Would you move in my situation? Im sure there will be a signing bonus.

Just got a rousing pep talk from my partner about how being a partner in public accounting is the “greatest career anyone could ever dream of”. Feel like he’s still trying to talk himself into it, too.

Incoming MBA, I have my tuition paid for and rent covered (I will be an RA). So the only thing I need to pay for is food and entertainment. Do you think 20k is enough to last me through the 2 years? I will make a little money interning in the summer, so that would be a safety valve if I blow through the 20k.

Or… should I take a small loan?

Is there anyone on here that has any negatives about working in FP&A? I always see it as an exit opportunity a ton of people want to go in and I know the pros but what are some of the cons?
