Does anyone know if you can claim the interest you paid on your loans on your income tax returns?

Those planning FIRE who have 2+ kids. Do you plan on funding their entire college education public or private? Grad school? How does that factor into your financial planning?

So my spouse and I invest separately via different trading accounts. Individual accounts, not joint. Can I work around the wash sale rule with 2 accounts? Sell stock A from one account @ $20 and buy stock A from@second account @ $15? Planning to dump stocks in December last week to get some tax gains and buying on the second account in first week of January.

In a perfect world how much would you want to make a year to both pay off your loans and live a good life? I think I'd need to make upwards of $200k to pay off my loans, take care of my family and live a fulfilling life.

Curious to know how much your student loans were when you graduated from your program, how much you’ve paid off so far, and your age.
