They will most likely have to come in 3x per week unless management allows for certain people to not on a case by case basis.
Omnicom’s policy is 3 days a week. I worked with client teams on creating and updating team structures. Omnicom does not want remote workers.
I work at a legacy IPG agency and our remote employees all have remote agreements in their contracts. So yes, they are exempt. Only reason they’d force them back is if they actually wanted them to leave.
And what if the "IPG legacy" remote contract is only 12-18 months old, and the senior/seasoned "digital guru" was formerly at an Omnicom shop but was let go, and the HR departments of IPG and Omnicom have not yet shared files, and this fully remote employee squeezed in and will strike again? Where is the safety net?
For us it very much depends on the individual team.
