Started about two months ago and my observations are this is a very difficult time to start. I’d suggest getting a mentor, mine has been very helpful
I’ve been doing it for maybe two years now and I would say that it’s more complicated than it looks but if you make time to learn technical trading, fundamentals, and the math behind option pricing then it’s a lot better. In good economic times you can make a ton of money on luck; in bad times you quite literally can lose everything. SO my recommendation is to practice with small amounts, be okay with losing money in the beginning as you learn( people call it paying tuition), and really really put the time in to become a good trader. You can’t trade a derivative if you don’t understand the function 🤓
I started learning. I am only on a practice account now. The biggest problem is learning when to take out my money and when to keep it in the trade.
Yeah I'm experiementing at the moment since the market's down. I have a plan to liquidate in 3-5 years, don't plan to hang on to all my stocks forever but am playing around at the moment!
