We'll have collections at times for gifts for some special event such as someone's retirement. It's usually not a big deal, people pitch in 10 or 20 bucks. I'm actually relieved it's not something that happens all that often, I have friends who work at places where there's always something to contribute to, and it gets pretty aggravating.
Yes. We had a recent baby shower for my colleague at my job. They also had one for me as well because I was also pregnant. When we had it for my coworker I gave $25
It all depends on the person and the occasion. For my boss’s birthday in June me and one of the other girls at work pitched in together to get her a crisscross applesauce chair, and then we all also pitched in $10+ each for gift cards. For boss’s day we all pitched in one (or more) gifts for a boo basket, took silly pictures for a scrap book, and we all wrote special notes for a personalized burn book. (She loves mean girls) We have a baby shower coming up next week for one of the cooks and we are having a big pajama/halloween themed baby shower for her. We are all each buying her gifts, and pitching in $10-$15 each for an Amazon gift card for her get whatever she wants from her Amazon baby registry. For my birthday in January we got snowed in and we went and raided Walmart for snacks and a cake and we had a big party and sleepover with all of us that stayed through the snow. Once the snow melted we all went out to the bar and they all bought my drinks and gave me gift cards.
They do for birthdays but I don't donate unless I really want to. In my opinion they do not pay me enough for me to do that. If they want to give employees gifts that's a great idea but take it from the CEOs bonus not my paycheck... Lol

Yes, we sometimes pitch in for gifts like baby showers or birthdays. Usually, people give around 10-20, but it’s always optional. We have had people pitch in as little as 1... It’s a nice way to celebrate, but no pressure if someone doesn’t want to contribute.

Depends. I have a small team. Usually I will give $25.
Does not happen often, but one lady usually does a birthday cake for people as she does this as a side business. I crochet as a hobby, so most usually get a baby blanket or other homemade items as a gift. Otherwise, we do love a potluck for the holidays.
