Hello, I am in USI GES tax at DUSI. I love my job but not my team and mgmt anymore. I'm a performer and I'm dumped with work of 2 ppl while others are searching for work. I am burned out.

I resigned and accepted a job with EY GDS with a huge pay bump that DUSI can't match but I also gave up my potential promotion for 2023.

I've been feeling bad about putting my papers down and letting go off my promotion but I am really tired. I took up this job as an escape.

Did i do the right thing?

I was an AE for two years, took a promotion at another agency for SAE for only 8 months and am now being recruited for AS at 80k. I recently stumbled upon a website where some ad folks had compiled a bunch of idea/conceptual thinking approaches and if you clicked through there were past spots that had utilized that idea / way of thinking. I wanted to share it with a mentee and can’t track it down. It was a simple layout: grid of images w/headline naming the idea … Sound familiar?

Why do companies do this? I interviewed with a company. They loved my work and told me that I’m going to start the following week. They made me sign all of the onboarding papers and poof ghosted me! 🤦‍♀️ I feel so down right now! And I feel like I won’t be able to ever land a job!

I've never worked on anything for TikTok and hope I never have to. TikTok is from hell. I was on it one time for about 10 minutes and could feel myself becoming mentally unwell in just those 10 minutes. The human brain is not designed to deal with the sheer amount of sensory overload that app gives you. I'm pretty sure TikTok is one of the main reasons we are constantly hearing about how much Gen Z struggles with mental health.
