Maybe it’s time to switch teams. The raise should be because you deserve it from your past contributions instead of getting it so they can expect more from you
Can't relate to that. Every raise I've been given has been very welcomed. But lol at expecting worship over a 5% bump. That's rich.
I’m going to guess Goldman, they are just going to be a place you work at for a few years to look pretty on the resume, then leave for a lot more money.
I was once given a raise because my salary fell below the new policy minimum for my job. The raise felt great for about 2 hours.
I think it’s time to look elsewhere. 5% shouldn’t warrant much of a change at all.
