New grad currently in a Program Manager role related to manufacturing at Apple. I have a Product Manager offer from a legacy tech company (think Cisco, Oracle, etc). To the folks who pivoted from tech consulting pre-MBA to IB/PE post- graduation, how has your experience been? What would have been helpful for you to have known prior to making the switch?

Single filer, I ended up owing taxes both to the IRS and the state. All I had was some interest income and some minor dividend income besides the salary. I can't seem to figure out why I owe taxes when nothing has really changed except income growth over the years. I expect the company payroll to take out taxes as required given the annual salary, so shouldn't really be too much of a surprise beyond paying some tax for interest income. Anyone got any ideas?

I’m currently a maxed out GS-15 Step 10. Masters degree is Electrical/Computer Engineering, but now a Program Manager for a high visibility area. I have 10 years to reach full retirement age (57).
