Deloitte question. I have always gotten a raise each year, the only question I ask is how much of a raise do I get. But I’m hearing from former Deloitte folks, it is naive to expect annual raises each year however small/big they are? And how does this play in Deloitte consulting vs advisory? Do one tend to withhold annual raises in base salary over the other, or is this just a deloitte culture thing? Looking at exit opportunities all over. So lmk! I’d Rather get a small raise than none at all.

I wouldn't put Accenture and Big4 in the same bucket. ACN Consulting is way ahead in comp, perks, clientele, etc.

Do you have an offer? There are A LOT of variables we need here to help - what level are they offering (senior? Manager?)? What practice? What city are you in? What’s your education background?
With 6 years of experience I’d expect you’d get a Senior offer at EY. But that could be from 80k as a Senior 1 in a non HCOL with a CPA to 160k+ if they bring you in at a higher level or you have an MBA from a top school.
6 years seems like too much experience to bring you in as a staff, but many practices are hesitant to bring non-consulting hires in at manager because you won’t have the consulting experience to be successful.
If they’re bringing you in as a low manager, no MBA I’d guess 120-150k, but again a lot of factors there to consider
My guess:
Target school or high demand skills: $160-170
Otherwise: $140-160
Thanks for the feedback, truly appreciate!
