Don't do it. Won't get lunch expensed.
You’d be giving up FREE healthcare for you and your family...that alone is enough of a reason
You’d probably be looked at as a god and be able to pull a lot of strings tbh, if you’re into the entrepreneurial thing then you’d prob be able to run some shit over there
There a number of BCG alumni in my group (OTS). Most have left BCG as principal and come to EY as senior manager (I assume with hopes of making partner in relatively short order).
The advantages of MBB over Big 4 have been discussed at length on fishbowl and while I doubt we'd win any cross-offer situations for campus hires, there are a number of reasons I can think of why people would make the move you're evaluating.
Though I haven't discussed this with any of them, I imagine reasons could include 1) lifestyle (I feel like my hours and travel are generally less intense and more predictable than people I know at MBB) 2) they wanted to be part of a more specialized practice 3) they got a big bonus to join 4) they figured they had a higher probability of making partner
Also recruiting probably doesn't know shit. You should really talk with a practitioner in the specific practice
Could be a clear pathway for you to lead a client offering for the firm, also could be a pathway to partner? Better work/life balance? Pretty hard to provide further advice without more context of your situation
Have a friend who moved from BCG to EY for a partner position there and loves it (hours and specialization in what you do) and has tried to convince me to join since. Didn’t pull the trigger yet but might consider depending on next PDC
Dont do it!
It’s about the money at the end of the day. And u may be able to stand out. Just depends
