Use CSP for travel and dining. Get a Citi double cash card for 2% back on everything else.

like

Discover It, Chase Freedom and Citi Dividend have 5% cash back quarterly with rotating categories. Discover has Discover Deals that gives you 5-10% cash back year-round on online shopping at many stores if you link through their site. Capital One gives 1.5% cash back, no foreign transaction fee and ongoing promotions with uber. Citi has the 2% cash back card. The new Costco Citi card looks good too. And all these cards have $0 annual fees. If you are willing to pay annual fees then there are more options available to you. So you need to decide what do you want out of the next card. :)

Chase freedom - 5% cash back. Pair it up with the Chase SP and you're golden

I have never been enamored by cards with airline or hotel reward points because the value of the points are arbitrarily determined by someone else and they invariably depreciate in value. What am I missing here?

Thanks a lot fb fam! KPMG1 that's a lot of valuable information. Yes I was planning a 0$ annual fee card, I'm already paying a total of $190 for my CSP and corporate Amex. Can you also help me choose if I should go visa (as 2 personal cards are currently that) or move to MasterCard for the third one?

Good q - I think Chase and Capital One primarily issue Visa and Citi issues MC. They are both widely accepted so I am not sure one is better than the rest. I would first choose a card that maximizes the benefits and then think about MC or visa. And yes, pay your balance in full every month otherwise you are paying more in interest than the payout in rewards :)

I like the Amex SPG card to add some more points...

Dry powder coming in Monday morning and steel companies have been on my watchlist all week. Already in CLF, but it’s hitting the top of its channel so pullback might be coming - will load up if it does. Going to find an entry price into $MT 30c 2022 and avg down if stock dips.

$WOOF will be (or already has) catching momentum soon. 25/30c for July/Sept could still profit off the rising IV and underlying might spike soon. Probably just gonna watch it for fun on the sidelines 😂

Hey!
I have credit card with last billed amount of 1,25,000. But i just received my refund of 50,000 which will be adjusted in the next cycle.

But for this cycle, should i pay the entire 1,25,000 and let my CC go into -50,000 balance or i can pay the lower outstanding amount (75,000) only?

My goal is to avoid any interest or fees.

How much rent should I be paying?

Finding a house-share with enough working space for wfh seems expensive since I first moved to London 4 years ago - £900+ pcm and still competing for the room! Is it worth just trying to rent solo a little further out for ~£1,300pcm? Big issue is I’m only earning ~£45k with 4yoe.

Due to a family situation we are looking to move to a different state. Normally we would sell our current home and buy a new home in our new location. However, with todays prices and interest, will it make more sense to rent out our current home and rent a home ourselves vs. selling and buying immediately when we move? We are moving from Vegas to Sacramento and we are not sure how long we would stay in the new area. Thoughts?

Anyone going to play AMZN earnings? It’s hard to say if we will still have low expectations this quarter but have to think AWS has done real well this quarter. It’s probably too early to tell how much WMT + is stealing business. The wild card is if they announce stock split.

Hello people,

Need some inputs!

When I file my ITR, it is auto-populating the 'income from other sources' by 40k and increasing my tax liability by 10k however form 26as shows no tax liability.

Should I edit the header to Rs. Xx which is below 10k hence tax exempted and stick to info as per 26AS?

Thanks a lot!

It's super frustrating to be "time poor".

That's seemingly just the nature of working in Biglaw.

But every day you have the option to buy back your time.

How do you buy back time?

It's simple—by saving and investing.

And you don't need to be uber wealthy to regain control of your time.

How is everyone dealing with the overpriced car prices? Been in the market for a while searching for a car between leasing a car from a dealership and buying used from FB. I’m fine with either option, especially since it’s going to be my first car, but not for $6k above MSRP. Worst part is, dealers are sitting around and have got nasty at my sister and I when they’ve been trying to milk us.

Is this even legal? Any alternatives options are appreciated

Told a friend of mine in tech I was considering moving to BCG. He asked me if I would have to move to Boston.

I followed up by asking what he thought the top consulting firms were. "I'd guess PwC and then McKinsey are the best. I've also heard of KPMG, Deloitte, and Bain, but I don't know much about them."

Just a reminder that outside our bubble no-one really cares about firm prestige etc.
