Feeling trapped in my tech job. I’d love to have a more meaningful job but changing career doesn’t seem realistic with a house & wedding to pay for. And wanting kids. Any tips?

The biggest thing I keep running and running around my head- after 8 months, why did he drop me? When he texted ending it l….it wasn’t me, like we weren’t us, his words were from someone else, like I didn’t matter. It doesn’t matter how much it wasn’t about me, how he chose to end it, and that’s what crushed me. Who I thought I knew was wrong. I want to know how close he was to loving me.

Has anyone had roommates who got sick with Covid and they managed to not catch it from them? If so, what precautions did you take? We have a good relationship and so far he’s been staying in his room and using a mask whenever he needs to use the restroom or grab water from the kitchen. I am the only one who touches the fridge and takes his food out so he can eat. What else can we really do?

I really just want a new job and I think I’ll have more luck passing the interviews for smaller companies than the big ones. Once you get into a FAANG company, is it better to stay where you are or move around? I’m a dissatisfied with my current job but I have vesting stocks, work 9-5, and people to know and respect me. I am the sole provider for my family and value quality of life and stability. I have some interview requests from other FAANG companies that I know pay more but I worry about starting over. Anyone switch companies and either regret it or are glad they did?
