Go! You can always come back. I did it for a year, and while I came back, I didn't regret the experience one bit.
I would go if it is just you, but if you have kids that would be a hard pass.
If you decide to take it and you don’t like it there you can always move back home. I’m from NJ. When I was 23, basically on a whim, I decided to marry a Navy man and move to Hawaii. Crazy decision, but it was the experience of a lifetime and if I hadn’t done that I wouldn’t have had 2 of the best kids in the world, and an ex-husband that is one of my best friends and greatest supports. It was obviously stupid to marry someone I didn’t know, but if I hadn’t made that decision to just go for it I wouldn’t have my boys, AND once the younger of the two graduated HS next year I’m finally moving back home to NJ.
Maybe your destiny is in this other state? Maybe you’ve been given this chance for a reason? Do you want to play it safe and never know and stay near all the people you’ve always known or venture out and experience someplace new? Just go for it! I don’t regret my choice one bit!
How far away would you be moving?
I would go. You can learn so much about yourself, once you separate your life from your family. I don’t mean it in a rude way, but sometimes families can hold a person back from growing within themselves. You can always come back and family is always a call away. You will gain so much by taking a chance. Good luck!
You only live once! Take a chance and see what’s out there for you! Also, I feel like you were given that chance for a reason! Go for it!
I would pray about it first and I would probably go, too! If you have family and support back home, if anything happens, you have that in your corner. Mom of 3 here, who never got to experience that!
