We have both the Britax Agile Travel System and a BOB jogging stroller. Honestly use the BOB the most; real tires, suspension, takes it all like a champ. Also has an adapter for the britax infant car seat. The Brtiax stroller was only used almost exclusively for indoor travel. Walking mall, etc. Mostly due to the plastic wheels.
We like the uppa baby, because it stands up and is easy for my wife to put in the car. I never would have bought it. Got it as a gift.
We have like 4 different strollers for our little one, including the uppa vista. Our jogging stroller is the most versatile and would be best for the rough sidewalks with the larger wheels. Most strollers can grow with the baby and most you can get an adapter for your car seat of choice. I would say that the jogging stroller is not optimal for bringing into restaurants and other indoors though given they tend to be a bit longer.
Get the Citi Mini GT. Uppababy has plastic wheels and will hold not hold up in urban environments. It’s also wide as f*uck and will be a hassle navigating up and down crowded/narrow supermarket aisles. The Citi mini GT also folds up with one hand. Super convenient and not as expensive.
Not sure if you can get it in the US but Stokke Scoot or Stokke Trailz are pretty good. Scoot is super easy to fold up and has adapters for car seats. Tires are great for city. Grows from newborn to toddler without a problem
Citymini - have had ours for almost four years and still works like new. So easy to fold and unfold, doesn’t take up the whole trunk. Decent storage. Love jt
Nina pipa for car seat and uppa baby for stroller. Just went through this. Congratulations
D2 - good combo, did the exact same with our first
You need a Bugaboo. Had exact same requirements for first kid with MaxiCosi car seat to snap in (had to buy adapter for snap in) For our second, got the BOB double jogger and loved it, but can’t snap in car seat. Also see momsstrollerreviews.com
Honestly all recommendations I have seen here though are really good. Becomes more about price point and bells/whistles that are important to you.
We love the Thule urban glide. You can get a car seat adapter for the first few months for like $45. It is big though. So we have the stroller that was an accessory for our car seat for shopping/eating out.
CitySelect and B-Ready. No need to spend extra couple hundred on Uppa. We live in Chi,didn’t have car for 2 years with kid, and are expecting 3rd. Just traded our Britax for a CitySelect because it’s a bit easier to carry down our back stairs. Both are great though. Have second seat and kickboard = 3 monkeys
Nuna Mixx. You can pull it along on it's wheels when packed up. Packs quick and easy. Small wife found it easy
We got the vista, and the easy fit with the car seat is great. However, it is super wide, and only fits in our suv. If we use the hatchback, then back seat needs to go down to fit it. Uppababy just released the Minu, and it will get car seat adapters this summer. It folds super small - you may want to look at that one
Those are the right two finalists for sure. We have citi mini GT and I am happy with it. It has the car seat combo which is nice. That said, my wife wishes we got the uppababy because it can more easily convert into a double stroller for baby #2.
We live in Chicago, and our Bob was the goto like DE1. We have an uppa that pretty much only use to travel, airports etc. and even then we would take the bob. It lays back easier and both my kids loved napping in it.
Thule urban glide - snap in car seat adapter, handles like a boss
Thanks, Gents. This is awesome advice
We liked bob.
@M4 - I agree with the Stokke recommendation. Even if you don’t get it for the car seat look into it for the high chair. We got it as an infant chair and at age 7 it is still going strong with every indication of lasting through the teen years
Leading candidates right now are uppababy vista and citymini. Any thoughts on those or others I should look at?
