First time flying via LGA. What a terrible experience. Insane traffic to get here, stuck on tarmac. Over an hour late already. JFK or EWR any better?

Pro tip. Only fly Delta out of LGA. The terminals aren't garbage.

like

Give it 5 years, after Terminal B is done, it should be much better.

Both better. They're actual airports, not bunkers.

like

LGA is trash, but tbh if you learn how it works there, it gets the job done and gets you into the city quick/ can get there quicker (like assuming you’re staying in Midtown)

like

LGA all the way!

What airlines and what time is ur flight

Easier commute to midtown though.

EWR is awesome fly it every week

Totally depends on where you live and which airline you fly. If you live on the west side, fly out of EWR. I live in Brooklyn and usually fly out of LGA....I have Clear and fly Delta so I can roll up right before my flight boards and be fine. JFK you have to allow more time because it’s huge and you never know where your gate will be....but it’s much more spacious and better food.

EWR is ergonomic, modern and has fantastic selection of restaurants! Every seat at waiting areas has a charging spot.

LGA is misunderstood ;) Yes the inbound traffic pattern is madness but once you get used to how things roll, get yourself CLEAR, you can sail through. EWR is trash for Delta travelers.

What's the deal with having to take a shuttle to get a taxi though? Is that temporary or going to be around for a while?

LGA is gaaaaaaaaarbage EWR all the way dude. It’s a bit out of the way but a much better experience

Looks like we have a consensus!

Lyft driver delayed picking me up 30 min, resulting in me canceling my ride and asking hotel to call me a “yellow taxi” to get to the airport because it was 5am and all ubers/lyfts were 15 min. Specifically said yellow. Hotel calls me a private lux SUV and the driver got out of the car to handshake the man who called and said hi (honestly money couldve been passed). I then get hit with a $180 ride. Marriott website says taxi should be $65. Should I complain or let it go?

I'm a light sleeper who cares too much about the people around me, but I've got a flight to London next Friday from 7pm NYC time to 7am UK time, and I'd really like to master sleeping on a plane just this once and not be in jet lag hell for the entire day after I land. I'll be in premium economy in an aisle seat. I usually take melatonin before bed and sleep on my side. Does anyone have suggestions for an OTC sleeping pill or pillow that actually works, or other advice for sleeping on a plane?
