For folks who are getting laid off, be open to 6 month to 1 year contractor jobs. Go for W2s if you can get it and assess 1099 taking your company’s Cobra. It is a good stop gap measure until things improve.

After being laid off last year I was talking with some friends about my experience and a few of them said that I definitely experienced sexual harassment. I’m not sure

I qualify for the interview waiver program for H-1B extension stamping. While trying to book appointment for dropbox, the website is asking me to schedule an OFC appointment (which does not have any available slots btw).

Is this expected? I thought there would be no OFC/fingerprinting and just drop-off the passport and required docs for stamping?
