Mostly in the end where we’ve dropped the questions and are just chatting. Learn the most there as personality starts to come through. 80% of candidates that I interview are all usually good fits for the role by the time they get to me, and in all reality I’m looking to answer the question of “do I want to work with this person, and will they be a good fit for my team”.
That being said if you are able to answer any question and have a sort of off the beaten path example of how something connects/relevant experience or impact things like that will stand out.
First and foremost, understand your interviewer. If its a Female or representing any minority group then ask how important is diversity and inclusion for the company and how does company instill these values in its culture.
Never ask this if the interviewer is a caucasian male. No offense but it is not on top their mind, not that they racist or bigot.
In that case, you can ask what is the behavioral qualities of some of your top performers.
Its not that there is one good question. If interviewer is a cat person then talking about animal rescue will turn them on . Sounds so devious, now that i am saying it out :)

G1, and McK 1 are definitely true. I also like when someone asks a good question about the firm. Justvhad some ask why we moved A&D to products from CMT, and if it was political or product supply chain driven. Damn. Hell if I know. But I should, it's at our earnings info graphic level.
