What is the salary range of a Technical Writer with 5.6 years of experience?

Me: I've been working 14 hr days non-stop.
Employer: We've all been working hard. It's a tough time for the industry.
Me: It's not sustainable and I'm burning out. I need help.
Employer: Totally get it. We are understaffed so we need you to be flexible about taking on more responsibilities.
Me: If I'm taking on more responsibilities, would my compensation be able to reflect that increase?
Employer: It's tight this year. Economy/pandemic etc.
Me: I'm leaving.
Employer: *surprised pikachu face*

Online when I research MBB partner salary it seems most things state 600k base and then only increases in bonus. Is this true? Or does a partners base comp also increase with tenure?

At PwC only top MBAs get a higher comp bucket. I have a MS which is ranked top 2 for my specialty. But since it’s not and MBA my comp is same as any UG degree.

Venting here... Been working for 8 years now, always wanted to move to California. I remember in 2012/2013 finding really nice homes for ~$1M. The same caliber homes are $4M+. I've more than doubled my salary since I started but it feels like nice homes are getting further away. I'm not sure there any many salaries anywhere that can buy $4M homes. How is this rational?

I got an offer from Deloitte India and KPMG Global Services into deal advisory role. The salary difference is not very much but I'm confused now which one to join.
In both the companies I have to work with international clients.

I trained on .net and then after I supported .net application. After 3 years I got to work on ssrs reports. We build reports from scratch in ssrs, then I worked on qlik view application. Attended training on qlik sense. My question is for which openings/certificate I have to look .net (I have only support knowledge) or reporting tools like ssrs, qlik view ? Obviously many of us get paid very well and there is an expectation with work demands for being paid that high. But what’s too much? How do you set a limit to preserve your mental health? I find myself guilty for taking time to decompress but I know I come back to work refocused after I do it.

I lateraled into a niche practice group in Sept 2021. I also have a 1 year old and have been mostly remote since I started - but have been keeping busy tracking towards 2400-2500 hours. Beginning to consider going in house (4th, corp) - I really haven’t thought about what I want, partly because I’m not sure what’s out there/attainable. Is it a bad idea to start by applying to a couple positions that interest me and seeing where that gets me? I’ll of course prep for the interviews but am afraid to burn potential bridges if I ultimately decline because I’m still figuring things out.
