Getting tired of my kitchen chair. I’m 195cm (6ft5) and need something ergonomic. I’ve heard mixed cases for/against gaming chairs. I’ve also heard Herman Miller is the way to go on the office end. My budget is $500 as of now. Any suggestions? Tall fish perspectives appreciated!

How did you decorate your personal space/private office/home office?

I feel really lethargic everyday. It helps if I exercise in the morning to be more active, but sometimes there’s just no time for morning exercise. I’ve been thinking about getting a standing desk to help with this? Any thoughts of this will help? Or something else that might help? Thanks!

Have new analyst on the team with an MBA and project experience. After working with them for 2 months it’s apparent that there are 0 consulting skills (excel, outlook, PowerPoint) and they freeze up even on internal calls. I’m finding that a weird side effect of losing my job in this climate is ad agencies taking advantage of my weakened position. They get in touch, proactively or in response to my reaching out, and they want to hire me as they are in good shape. When I reveal I was laid off, the offer changes to freelance or maybe nothing. Trying to chart out my medical options. For tax savings I’m multiplying the HSA/FSA contribution by my marginal income tax rate + FICA. Then also doing that for contributions since those are pre-tax.
