What is the avg and max CTC one can expect with total 7 YOE in IT operations (support) with last 3 years as a Senior Analyst/Team Lead?

I want to make a switch into the Consulting domain. I'm somewhat of a quasi-consultant in my current role, I like the Consultant job profile and feel I'm capable of doing well in this field. Also want to work at 1 of the Big 4 🙂. What are my chances - is it even possible for me to switch? How much hike can I expect?

Current CTC is 11L. B.Tech grad

I’m considering switching from IB to consulting, and I have a few questions:

- How bad are consulting hours? How often do you pull all-nighters and/or work weekends?
- How much do you hate your job/life on a daily basis?
- Compensation? (Entry level, 3 yrs, 5 yrs, etc? Salary/bonus?)
- How much networking do I need to do to get in (with prior IB experience)?
- Are any firms hiring entry level candidates right now? (I heard some firms just hired ALL their summer interns)
- Other thoughts?

I have offer from KPMG India and PWC AC Banglore. Package is almost the same. PWC AC has Canada shift with permanent wfh and KPMG India has hybrid work model in pune location. Please suggest which one is better in terms of growth , wlb , culture etc

Any tips for moving up in a medium/large-sized legal department, aside from switching companies? I work in a collegial environment with plenty of opportunities to create more value, but the management level is fairly crowded and it seems the clearest path to get one of those roles is to be hired into it. Has anyone else turned down a tech job for banking? It was a hard decision but ultimately, I decided that the experience and training I'll get here is second to none. Hope I don't regret this decision

Hello, I am in USI GES tax at DUSI. I love my job but not my team and mgmt anymore. I'm a performer and I'm dumped with work of 2 ppl while others are searching for work. I am burned out.

I resigned and accepted a job with EY GDS with a huge pay bump that DUSI can't match but I also gave up my potential promotion for 2023.

I've been feeling bad about putting my papers down and letting go off my promotion but I am really tired. I took up this job as an escape.

Did i do the right thing?

For remote folks: am I more likely to find a remote role that allows me to move around multiple times during my tenure at a big FAANG-like company, or a startup? what are things I should look out for in my search?

Hi all- My SO is currently at a Big4 & was initially preparing for S&O roles at GCP but given the high number of ex MBB consultants hired, they believe its just more competition to get the offer & to eventually get promoted over time.

Instead, they have decided to pursue program manager or cloud consultant roles, which they feel might have a lower barrier to entry from an assessment standpoint. Not sure if the bowl agrees but would like to get your thoughts, thanks!

Deloitte Switzerland went bankrupt a few years ago. UK partners bought out the company in order to rescue….of course they establish their own people as they are now the owners. Now we have British partners running the Swiss office. No issues there. But there is an exodus of people leaving to rival firms. Either too much English or they don’t like the new work culture….:( not sure what is not to like about Deloitte though

Took five days off. Came back to no meetings before 10am AND zero fires to put out. Regardless of what you think, your team can likely function a few days without you with the proper OOO plan. Take the time, get sane, work is not everything.
