I mean get the offer first. How can you know if it’s a step down?
What’s the point in going through the process of it’s not step up? Save time and energy 😊
Sounds like a huge step down.
Which product?
This is what I see from the grades point of view, it doesn’t make much sense unless it’s L7 or above.
No director/SM from big 4 has joined Google at L8 or higher. Your best bet is L7. Most likely L6. In both cases your TC will be higher than what you make currently.
Would you enjoy that role more? If yes, and pay is better go for it. If you are not passionate about being a PO then leave it.
There's not enough info to say. Ask what level and salary range they are targeting.
I'd assume if you have the correct skills, you'd get L6/ L7, which is very senior in PM world.
MDs / small companies CEOs typically come in at L7.
G1 - You’re assuming that product owner is a PM and not a BSA role. Both variations exists.
What is your current compensation? Are you making over 500k / 600k? If so, probably not worth your time then.
Thx for all your inputs
