How do you feel about getting homework for jobs?

We're altering our interview process to eliminate a homework assignment we give to candidates. It's about 2 hours of varying difficulty questions.

The VP wants to replace it with a 1 hour pair programming exercise because he thinks experienced candidates won't bother with homework. A lot of my experienced colleagues would be fine with the homework as long as it was within reason.

What's the consensus? Homework or nah?

I applied 48 minutes ago and haven't heard from a recruiter yet. Time to start freaking out?

How is WLB at Accenture?

Hi fishes, i got offer from TCS with 7 Lpa, but I already have 6LPA in my current organization, because I currently have 1.8 YOE. How can I negotiate with the HR to get atleast 9-10 LPA. any tips will be helpful to me.

Got offer in IBM - Band 8 for SAP Technical manager role.

Offered pay is 28 lakhs fixed after all negotiations in PDM round.
It is 30% hike from my current salary.

Please let me know whether this salary is fair as per band 8 in IBM ? And how about the yearly hikes in IBM as hearing that there will not be no hikes in IBM.

1st of all: I’m super inspired by this bowl. I’m now mid-30s and recently went 50+ days without drinking and felt good/productive. (Longest streak since before turning 21) But how do you stick with it? She now lives on the border of of ours school district. They had a meeting with school board and officials yesterday to decide if this student could be approved for out of zone! We did start school on August 10 and she was only able to return the 22nd. Why would they not approve her to attend? Thoughts?

Under contract for a 2,700 sqft home in LA. I think the price is OK: it’s not rock bottom and definitely not overpriced either as similar sized homes in the area have sold for MUCH more. The price is decent because it needs a bit of work on the interior, and I’m perfectly fine getting that done. OK time to buy now? Ideally I won’t have to sell this one to buy another home anyway, so in theory the hold period can be indefinite. What do you think about the impending foreclosures due to COVID?
