Did it and it wasnt bad at all. Use the Rita book.
I passed January of this year and used RITA, but there’s tons of free into out there to use as well.
Is it worth it? I know it’s expensive and requires payments every few years or so

It’s like $200 every 4 years or something to renew. Gov seems to care still.
I just renewed mine. It’s $60 every three years after completing the required PDUs.
FedGov is still into it.
Thanks. Was it useful? I just want to make sure that the time to study and initial cost would be worth it
The more 3 letters certs/licenses on your resume the better 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
Why would you get it? Most of the people I know who have the PMP have been unimpressive.

Good point. People seem to recognize it as a validation that you can perform certain roles, or ask for it as an asset.
Along with consistent project management experience, Federal clients use PMP as a reassurance that you know what you are doing and can follow an established process
I did it so I can say I did, more of a personal validation. RITA book sucked. Took a class and passed on my first try.
