401K match dropped from 125% to 100% for first 6% (honestly expected). Life insurance went from 4x salary match to 2x salary match. EAP benefits were nerfed. The rest is similar.
I feel like medical insurance always skews towards the lowest common denominator with the burden shifted to the healthy. Health coverage expands for the obese with free or low cost weight loss drugs, the mentally unwell with free or low cost therapy and drugs. Those who often wait until their 40s with $10k+ in benefits to do IVF. Various different medications, etc.
Very little benefit for those who are seeking true healthcare with those emergency visits occasionally. Those who are healthy, who use diet and exercise to stay strong, healthy and mentally well, those who are young, who have kids in their 20s, who prioritize health in their diet.
I understand the value in most of these things for some people to get them to a health place, but i wish I could get underwritten in a group of my peers instead of a group of unhealthy people who arent living healthy lifestyles, or i could opt out of benefits like weight loss drugs, therapy, IVF, etc.
IVF is not just for people in their 40s… that is so insensitive.
Health insurance going up. Essentially any raise that I may get this year will be negated by rising costs
Received notice that GLP-1’s are no longer covered with the exception of Ozempic for diabetes treatment. for Wegovy the out of pocket cost is $350.00 per month.
Have you tried GoodRx or their rebate programs?
Health insurance premiums went up along with deductible and out of pocket max. No more pension but additional 401k match, 1% less overall. Company still covering weight loss meds, great for those that need them, but bummer to the rest of us that see our premiums go up to pay for it.
Minor changes each year - usually higher cost overall with the percent passed to employees being fairly consistent.
