Has anyone ever been uncomfortable with an assignment during interview process? Based on our convos, it seems like they would benefit greatly and learn a lot that they don’t know yet if I actually completed it. They could definitely use that knowledge and not hire me.

Context: This is for a tech company, in which assignments are normal in the interview process. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I had the HR discussion almost 2 weeks back...and now I am getting all the emails like welcome to hcl and documents upload for background check, joining form submission etc....but have not received the offer letter yet...

I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

If a headhunter approaches someone for c suite position but you know a friend who knows key decision maker/chairman. Do you just bypass headhunter? Its in round 3 shortlist.

Considering taking a position with a small-cap in the US trying to build their legal department. The title is standard “counsel” although the work would be with the senior leadership team and reporting to the GC in Europe. How reasonable is it to ask for a bump in title - Senior counsel or Head of Legal, US? If it matters, I am a 6th year and have been told that I will be expected to hire a junior or paralegal as we build up.
