It’s a small world. Don’t do this. Finish the interview. Consider it good practice.

Oh in that case no harm to leave early. Be polite about, say you don’t want to waste their time, don’t diss them or the company, etc.
Just say you’ve decided to move in a different direction. Also, from what it sounds like, they’re about to do the same to you.
Yes I think you should concentrate on finding a better fit. I would email them and thank them for their time. Be professional.
If you're in the interview, don't be an idiot; finish out the session. If they're scheduled and you haven't met with people yet, it's fine to cancel.
Walking out sends a bad message.
Life is too short. Just let them know that after hearing everything you appreciate their insight, but don’t think it is the right fit at this time. If you like the company, then say so. Leave on good terms. Maybe the right role at the same company comes up and they think of you.
I just did this. The recruiter was the one i was communicating with through the whole interview process so that made it easier vs having to tell the interviewers themselves. I figure it’s better than wasting my time and theirs if I already know I’m not interested—and can of course communicate that graciously.
