My parents planned a trip to the US and never told me. My sister helped then plan. In the US, my father fell sick and had to be hospitalized. They did have travel insurance but there were still a lot of out of pocket expenses and other expenses related to rescheduling tickets, etc.

My sister contacted me once she got the bills and told me "as their son" I should be paying for everything.

Each one is hooked up via usb-c > thunderbolt 2 adapters to some older apple cinema displays. I live in a residential neighborhood near a university and I oftentimes run the track that surrounds the school. A few weeks ago, I ran into 2 men who were easily in their late 80s (maybe early 90s) and they seemed lost, so I stopped to help. It turns out, they weren’t lost, they were just planning their route because they walk 4 miles together every day. They were both professors at the school and now old friends. Something to aspire to - fitness and friendship - when I’m that age!
