Hi Guyz,
Any one from IBM ?
I went through the entire recruitment process and got selected for IBM ISL. Now I am being told by the HR that they are unable to release offer as there is a hiring freeze.
Can any one please tell me if its correct or just an excuse not to give me offer. If its true, when will this freeze be removed?

PwC is garbage imo. Parental leave is less, insurance costs more, and there’s no ‘wellness’ amount for gym memberships. I do like that PwC gives me a phone though. Allows me to leave my work phone somewhere when I want to disconnect.
PwC will pay for your phone if you just have one. This was a better benefit when I switched from EY, but I miss the wellness account. PwC does have the EHE health exam tho, and I think the time off/leave policies are generally comparable. Health insurance is worse at PwC.
Ex-EYer here, benefits wise EY and Deloitte are very similar.
I think KPMG might be the best with retirement matching as they got rid of their pension program.
PwC has an employer funded account separate from 401k matching (1.5% / 25% of first 6%). The account varies depending on rank and tenure from 3-7% of your salary, you don’t contribute at all to it and can elect investment options same as 401k. Both this and 401k match have a 4 year vest (20/40/60/100)
KPMG has6-8% 401k contribution and you don’t have to contribute at all
KPMG and EY have about the same, my Deloitte talent model didn’t get the best benefits so less PTO, parental leave, salary, bonus, etc. compared to the core
EY: unlimited PTO, KPMG: close to 1 month PTO (can’t recall), D: 18 days
For 401ks: KPMG uses Merrill Edge, EY uses Fidelity, and D uses Vanguard; matches are small
Wellness rewards: D- $1000/yr; EY- $1000 but only pay 75%; KPMG- none but there are early career rewards ($300/quarter) if you’re below manager
Transportation: D: $500/year; EY: can’t remember (between 700-900); KPMG: none
Cellphone: all pay a phone bill of ~$50, never went above $50 but pretty sure they’ll pay it
Don’t recommend joining Big 4 for benefits, recommend joining for making money
Parental leave at KPMG is surprisingly good. Medical is quite high - but I believe that to be the case across the board.
KPMG benefits are weak. Ex-Deloitte and am still on all of husbands Deloitte benefits
