Have any of you asked for accommodations at work for your ADHD?

First in-person retreat in a while coming up and first for me at this particular firm. Several people have mentioned that much of the bonding etc happens while drinking. I am newly sober and now worried about being in this environment, any tips for making it through the weekend? Similar experiences?

I am done trying to pretend everything is fine at work. The higher ups on the team kept asking if I’m doing anything fun for the weekend during video calls. PLTR is crushing it the past two weeks.

I joined a new team and have noticed something off with my Director over the last months (slurring speech, no show to calls or even full days of work). I finally asked a colleague about it today because I’m concerned about my Director. She confirmed that she’s noticed the same over the last few years, but no one ever says anything. In confidence she told me she can often smell alcohol. How can I help? I feel helpless. I’ve already lost someone to addiction and I can’t ignore this. Any advice?

Want some feedback for Employees Assistant Program (EAP) by Capgemini which provides facilities to connect with Therapist.
Actually I am going through some tough times(going through a divorce), want to connect to EAP to discuss my mental health issues.
I had connected once and they say that the conversations are strictly confidential.
Just wanted to know do they really keeps stuff confidential or can they inform my Manager regarding the personal conversations.

Would you recommend the CVS test? I dont think I want to get it done due to the risks.

Advice and/or consolation anyone? My wife and I (both above average health 30year olds) were trying for 11 months before getting pregnant and then had a week 5 early miscarriage a few months back. If the stress and surprise of just how difficult it apparently is to get pregnant wasn’t enough, the miscarriage put us over. What is comp like in Minneapolis firms? Do some pay significantly better than others, or are they all the same? Spouse’s family in MN so considering a move, but I make DPW scale currently (am a litigation associate) and the salary estimate I got from a firm in MN would be 40% less than what I currently make! Cost of living and hours requirement slightly lower in MN, but nowhere near 40%! Are there any options that would not result in a drastic pay cut?

I ended my career on June 7. I was never going to retire. I was a K-6 Art teacher! I said I would never retire, teaching had been my identity and my life! Well, I changed my mind on the first day of school this year.

The “remote” teaching for a year did me in, but I stayed because I thought this year, things would be normal, teaching “in person.” I was excited.

I was so wrong because the behavior was unbelievable! I never had behavior problems bc I just took away the Art to manage the students.
The class always came around. I was committed to teach the entire school year. I did it!

I am so relieved that every single day in August will not feel like a Sunday night. The relief is grand!
