Yes, it's normal and it's an opportunity to find your new motivation. You need to ask yourself what you want to gain from that job. Do you want more projects? More responsibilities? Learn new skills? Think about how you might want to pad your skill set and eventually your resume. Take this opportunity and run with it.
Work can get that way. A lot of things in any business office are routine, and someone has to handle them. The trick is to just become efficient and move through the work and try not to get bogged down. And do whatever it takes not to get burned out on it. Take breaks, or just organize things so you're not doing too much monotony at once.

I wish. I haven't had that since I first started and didn't have a full load. I would do things like LinkedIn learning, joined some employee resource groups, and organized the mailrooms. It kept me busy.
Yes! Ive been in a similar position for 11 years. Year 6 was when it got very boring for me. It hasnt gotten any better. Ive looked for other positions and apparently Im grossly overpaid because I cant find anything even close to my current pay, much less more. So I feel as if Im stuck. If you find yourself hating the job, please find something that challenges you and allows growth.
Enjoy it while it lasts. I felt that way when I first started, but then got busier as my team started to recognize my capabilities and hand over more work. Now I dream of a day when I get through my tasks and feel accomplished and not guilty logging off.
I go through documents on the shared drive to learn how others work, fill out forms, etc. When I was in accounting, I even found several spreadsheets that were not completed. So I finished those.
If the above isn’t available or already done, I write stories, surf the web. Look for class action lawsuits that I might qualify for a share. Sometimes I book a small conference room and take a nap.
I totally feel this it’s been six months and everything is slowing down… I feel like my brain has gone numb from the lack of things to do so I put in my two weeks🤭
Enjoy the monotony and steady paycheck..😊 Something a lot of people don't have. Streamline processes and create procedure books... not only will it keep you busier...it's fun to dig deeper into how things work.
Feeling that way again too. It's a hard thing to overcome, but I always find myself looking at keeping busy or finding something to love outside of the normal work again.
