McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Indian MBA graduate here. Worked with EY for a year post MBA. Looking for opportunities in Management Consulting in Canada. Any leads or referrals in McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Company, Kearney, EY, Deloitte would be appreciated.
Saw some really great success this last month directly referring individuals from my professional network internally. Was able to refer 60+ people, 42 of which were brand new candidates. I’ve been able to help 16 people make it to interview stage, with 3 people who are currently awaiting offers (and hopefully more to come)! Feel free to email me your resume if you’re interested in opportunities at Deloitte and I’d love to try to help you out as well! Charlwhite@deloitte.com

Agree with A1. But know many women in their 30s in law, medicine and other professions who struggle with conflict between working, being a mom, being a wife, and taking care of themselves. Some are depressed. Some are anxious. Most are overtired. And a few are all three.
Single thirty year old female lawyer in a boutique firm here, it’s not just big law. Can’t speak for everyone here but I often feel like the choice is a personal life or partnership and that takes a toll after awhile.
I think depression and mental health issues more generally do not discriminate and affect a broad cross section of the profession. But it probably manifests in different ways and may be more apparent to you in how it presents for those you identify.
I feel attacked. Lol Too relatable.
The stats about depression and other mental health disorders in the legal profession are alarming. Easily triple the proportion of the general population. I don't pretend to know whether it is the chicken or the egg, but lawyers manifest mental health conditions dramatically higher than the average. The more we talk about it, the more stigma is diminished.
Unfortunately, it's all people in legal profession. Regardless of age or firm size. I just think IMO that women under 30 are more willing to admit it. Older lawyers still believe there is a stigma to admitting it.
It’s definitely not limited to women or any particular age group. It’s a very real issue. Please get help if you even think you might need it.
Describing me to a tee
31 year old male in small law. It's not just big law or women. It's real. Don't pretend it just effects the big law folks
I did. It asks specifically about depression “in big law” and whether that “mostly” affects women. Thanks though
