I received an email from the HR at Monitor Deloitte that I've cleared the case round and a back to back discussion with partner and director of the team will be scheduled. Been almost 3 days since this email, haven't received asking for availability from the scheduling team. This for a role with their Lifesciences Strategy practice in the UK. How long do they typically take to schedule the final round of discussions? Do they eliminate candidates in this round?
Hello Fishes, please let me know how are projects in BCMA department under ICG group in city bank. I have an offer from city which I have not yet accepted considering many negative reviews of work culture in City. However HR said I am not sure about other departments but you can check for BCMA dept with friends or on LinkedIn. Please help.

That’s odd - you should have been hired as a consultant. Did you perhaps come through campus recruiting and they were only recruiting for analyst?
So that’s a crucial part of the story here OP. You took a path into the firm through an analyst program - you literally applied to the analyst program. You could have applied as an experienced consultant but that wouldn’t have been through campus recruiting (it would have been via the normal careers website that anyone has access to).
If you applied to the analyst program it’s odd to me that you’re....upset about being part of the analyst program. Or that you got the standard salary for the analyst program (we don’t differentiate salary amongst new hire analysts). I’m sorry you didn’t get what you had hoped for but I think when you tell all of these additional facts, you kind of landed exactly where you signed up.
Go back in a time machine to 1950 when an MBA was useful
OP, same story at McKinsey. Except I have two masters degrees, not an MBA, and two YOE outside consulting. I make more than the analyst fresh out of college or Masters program, but nowhere near other people my age, who are a level or two above me depending on the path they took. I take it as the price I paid for exploring a little more earlier on. I think I needed it.
You should have a faster trajectory than other analysts though, right? I think I do. Not entirely sure, though.
I can surely hope so. The worst part about it is that I’m still making the exact same amount of money that any undergrad coming out of college to the firm is making. So while I’m still okay with the position as long as the transition to promotions in the future can be relatively faster, getting paid the same salary makes absolutely no sense to me!
OP same story but was at another big 4. I made the mistake of sticking around believing they really cared about their people and wanted to help them progress within the firm. They'll tell you it'll average out in the long run...it won't! MBA peers making double our salary, the only way to get what you deserve is to leave and maybe go back if you really want to work at Deloitte. My guess is after leaving you'll never look back.
Very similar situation to you. I tried to look elsewhere but virtually no one will sponsor... stick it out unless you can find a firm that will sponsor
What’s your work experience? You may be able to get to the next level at other firms. Send me your resume - I can comment better.
Ok ping me and send me your resume. This doesn’t make sense. You should look to Move. I can guide on ZS on what makes sense.
On and also your coach isn’t going to be able to help much other than try to push for early promo. I’d connect with your OP leader.
Oh I don’t think that’s why. I’ve had counselee tell me they are considering leaving. Why would I use that against them? I’m just saying that an analyst probably has an SC or manager coach and there’s likely not much they can do.
