Hello everyone. I have worked in the legal profession for over twenty years in different roles such as Legal Assistant, Office Manager, Business Office Manager and Litigation Paralegal. I have now been in my current position as a PI Litigation Paralegal for over 10 years and I must say that this has been my most productive and most rewarding position. Why? Well, after working in different size legal firms, including the TV firms, this position with Singleton Law Firm has allowed me growth.

I just got hired for a government contract through Accenture for a Business Analyst role. Pay is $65 per hour. 3 year contract. Benefits too. No PTO. Holidays off with pay, after 90 days.

For those of you have left, what kind of questions did you ask yourself to know it was the right time?

(1/2) I started a new job less than a month ago at a large firm with a significant pay increase. I work remotely- which is a special arrangement. They paid for my travel to their headquarters for in-person training. After interacting with my manager and some of the attorneys, I feel like I made a mistake. Manager is demeaning and rude. A bunch of the attorneys dropped not so subtle hints that people who work from home are causing all kinds of problems. I don’t know what to do.

Hi everyone. Is it typical for the attorney to take credit for the work a paralegal does? An example: I gave some ideas about deposition questions and some observations I made (I was asked about giving suggestions) regarding a witness and the attorney mentioned that he’s the one that had these great questions/observations. Zero credit or thank you for the work I did.
