I’m a senior associate and received an offer to join a very profitable client as general counsel that would open lots of doors professionally and financially. Hi team. I received my offer from Amazon and signed my contract a few weeks ago. I also resigned from my current company after agreeing on a starting date mid-January. Seeing the news of the hiring freeze worries me though - do we know if this applies to roles where offers have been extended? Could they retract an offer after I signed a contract? Keen to get feedback. Feel that the base salary was too low but from my conversation with the recruiter there might be wiggle room on the cash payments potentially. What are your thoughts? Any tips appreciated!

Just reached final on-site round for a Senior Manager position (non tech) in the logistics department (London office). Recruiter has just asked me now for my expected compensation (base salary + total comp) via email before scheduling the loop. Any idea what to aim for?

I don’t know the level but was aiming £80k base, +15% bonus. If I don’t fall under their budget, would I automatically be removed from candidates?
