I’ve been at my clerkship for 5 years (4 with a different judge) and one with my current judge, and I heard horrible things about him before starting, but I assumed they were exaggerated. Turns out they’re all true, and I’ve had to start therapy to deal with him and the incredibly toxic environment. I’m trying to get out ASAP b/c he also has a history of firing clerks without cause or notice, but I think I’ll only be able to give two weeks notice if i get the job I’m interviewing for. Thoughts?

What is the benefit of using or working with a recruiter to find a role vs just looking yourself?

I had cleared all rounds and BGV documents also submitted 3 weeks ago. HR called for some workday step completion and salary discussion 2 weeks back and told that she'd call after 3 days. Since then no call/updates and for my followup mails too. Should I still hope to receive an offer letter?

Advice needed! I interviewed with my favorite company 3 months ago for a role I was interested in but had no experience. They were looking for someone with experience so they passed on me. The recruiter and I had a great relationship, she said she has a different role for me in mind and would give me a call when it opens up and told me I can reach out in a month or two. Working with this recruiter for the past few months has seriously been the best experience and has inspired me to (cont below)

What’s the point of telling someone they will get an offer but that the recruiter doesn’t know when it will come. Could be a week, a month, or next year. To me, I still don’t have an offer...
