Hello! I had the interview super day with Deloitte 2 weeks ago and I haven’t heard back from them yet. I know the holiday was in between, but I’m wondering if this long period of silence means no. I’ve read that most people get offers within 24 hrs. Has anyone received good news after two weeks?

Friend of mine was supposed to receive an offer (told verbally) from Deloitte and then just found out they are pausing on hiring the role. How common is that? Seems wildly unprofessional that none of the partners called and instead it was the recruiter conveying that news. At McKinsey, if that happened, the head of the practice or the office would personally make the phone call at the very least.
