Help. Had rounds of interview for a senior role in a industry, made it to the final round with CEO. I thought the interview went pretty well, and connected with the hiring manager on LinkedIn too; otherwise why would they arrange me to meet with CEO and founder ? But it’s been a month since my last round and no update .BUT , I saw the hiring manager post on LinkedIn said they are hiring. Did I ask for too much pay? I asked for 110 k, because I have 7 years experience, 3 yr BIG 4;

You didn’t get the job. Did you ask for 110 before you met with CEO? If yes, then you just didn’t impress the CEO. 110 for 7 years may be on the high end, but not crazy high.

It is OK. Finding a job where you will thrive takes time. The worst thing you can do is settle.

Depending on the city, the position and company. 110k isn’t extremely high.

Sorry I meant “ not” get the job .

have you not followed up since last month?

you would deserve a response even if you spent 30 minutes interviewing with them. a little decency takes 5 minutes! best of luck OP!

Had an interview for an associate position at Citi. Interviewee was based in London and I’m in NYC. The only interview time that worked was 6am. I was barely functioning and feel like I truly messed up in my answers because I couldn’t not think clearly. I have another with the head of the division next week again at 6am (pre determined before this interview). It was also hard because the division’s core work is private enough that there was not much prep I could do beforehand. Tips?

Hii Guys, Could anyone give me some clarity on the below point. I have cleared 2nd round of technical interview at Deloitte, but my candidature is still showing as interview in progress at Deloitte careers page. I had a discussion with HR on this and she told me that next process is pending from management side. It's been almost 10 days since from 2 nd round of interview. How much more time does it gonna take, any idea? Or is it normal. Please help me with this 🙏🙏 .Deloitte

Been with an Asphalt and Concrete contractor in suburban Chicagoland for a little over 2 years now, and am going into a compensation discussion tomorrow after informing my boss I no longer wish to be on a draw.

Current comp plan is as follows:
Salary- ~48k w/ draw up to about 80k, full OTE with commissions should be ~170000, this is all increased by kickers every 250k in sales that increase commission/draw

My questions is if the draw is removed, how much salary should I be asking for?

Although Amazon has instituted a hiring freeze and layoffs are probably on their way, I went through the loop for a security engineer position at AWS. Before I attended the final interviews, Amazon placed the hiring freeze and called me to ask if I wanted to go ahead or cancel my application. I decided do go ahead Right now I'm waiting for their response and the position I applied to changed from "under consideration" to "no longer under consideration". Thoughts?

Why do we always tell people “Be the best version of yourself before starting a relationship?”
I feel this is wrong…first, if you’re someone who constantly wants to be better, this doesn’t work. Also, what happens when you’re going through things and you’re not the best version? What happens is…the going gets tough and then one person leaves the other.

Is bank interest riba?

I have been researching into this these days and there is literature that shares how lending worked in pre-Islamic Arabia. When the time to pay back a loan came, the lender would ask "would you pay or will you increase?" And that increase was usually doubling the loan. Subsequently ever year the loan wasn't paid it was doubled from the previous year.
