Did you recently start playing and/or switch grips? It just happens - take some time off and let them heal, or if you are playing just tape over them
Thank you — yeah I suppose I need to let it heal. Does wearing a second glove help? Would it be considered a faux pas?
If you have big hands try midsize grips, they enable you to use a more relaxed grip. But just power through for now, before you know it you’ll have a ton of calluses and won’t even need a glove haha
Loosen the grip and use a non-lead glove
Thanks - you mean getting a second glove essentially right?
I use band aid tape
Upgrade to larger grips. This will allow you to not have to grip your clubs too tight. I’ve also started playing with golf pride MCC +4 grips. They’re less tapered and give you a more even grip through both hands.
I agree with the tips on changing grips or assessing your current grip. It’s the little things with golf that can surprise you and make a huge difference!
Recommend the Winn Dri-Tac grips. They are tacky enough when wet or dry but not enough to cause blisters. I play 2-3 times per week plus a few range sessions, and no blisters.
