Thinking about getting the CFP. Have any CPAs done it? Is it as hard as they say compared to the CPA?
Looking into certifications like the CFP or CFA but they’re so expensive and I can’t afford the upfront cost right now. Are other certs like APMA and CDFA worth it?

I don't have anyone else who gets this, but I hit my personal goal this year in almost every category; revenue, income, AUM growth, etc. Our fiscal year ends in October and I ended the year with a bang. Just super excited and I hope everyone else knows, this business is worth it when you put in the time and effort! Edit: also passed CFP in March!
Out of curiosity, what designations do you have? CFP, CFA, CIMA, ChFC, etc. Do you feel that your having, or not having, a designation has put you at an advantage/disadvantage?
Considering becoming a CFP and CFA but I’d like to know what the job market looks like. For those of you who are practicing, how long were you searching for a job and are you satisfied with your experience thus far?

Wasn’t offered equity for a Pre-Series A but got a healthy base, but I signed anyways because it’s a good opportunity. Series A is going to be sizable and growth is expected to explode this year. I expect additional responsibility. Can I come back to the table to ask for equity after initial round? It would only be a couple months after actually starting so not sure about leverage.

I recently transitioned from Finance to Internal Audit. While I think this job is perfect for what I want during this stage of my career I feel like theres a stigma. Like this holiday during family zoom calls I'll tell relatives I stwrted a new job during WFH and when I mention it is Internal Audit I get mildly disgusted looks or "oh boy, I hate auditors" responses. Since the holiday season is almost over can you share how you respond to that? Or do you tell people you work "in compliance"?
