Has anyone taken up the Personal Capital investment management service that they offer?

They say they will manage my 401k but to do that they will require my credentials that I use to log into fidelity. Is that normal? Has anyone here done that before? Any feedback or experiences of using them?

All my investment is in real estate - 1 primary and 2 rental. Total 3.7 M value and 1.7 mortgage pending. About 400k in cash. I’ve 0 RRSP. Is my investment strategy terrible?

Hi fellow fish need some advice.

I'm planning a wedding and wondering if I should apply for new credit cards to maximize on points. If so, wondering what your recommendations are and or if there are new cards out there I haven't heard of yet. For context I probably have another 20k+ in expenses to pay still and my current cards are:

CSP
Marriott Bonvoy Boundless
Citi double cash
Random card (used to be uber)

How common are credit checks for roles in accounting or finance positions? Will high utilization on credit card balances and low credit score be a deal breaker? I’ve been irresponsible and made mistakes, but wondering if I can switch jobs now or if I’m best off waiting 1-2 years and cleaning up my credit first.

I'm early in my career, managed to save $30K to invest, and want to get my hands dirty with a rental property without too much risk (e.g. no HML/flipping). It sounds like that's a tall order in the NY/CT area given the prices, not to mention whether I'd be able to get a mortgage on anything below $100K, but I figure I'll give it a shot anyway. Abandoning Green Card
Has anybody experience in giving up the LPR status after leaving the US for work and residency in another country/homecountry? I come from a low tax country and wonder whether Uncle Sam will send a final tax bill or penalty fee or even make it difficult/impossible for me to abandon the GC once I will leave the US again. This is crucial for me to apply for the GC.

Do you charge a flat fee for representing a buyer in a straightforward purchase and sale of one property? What’s ballpark legal fee — from LOI to PSA to diligence to closing? Assume pretty clean title, maybe one CC&R.

How hard is everyone pushing their corporate clients to authorize nonresident assignees whose only 2020 US compensation was the value of their 2019 tax preparation?
My clients are pushing back on it this year, and I can't say I blame them. If I were in their shoes, I'd rather take the risk of not filing than the expense of filing again. From my own point of view, I don't really want to spend my time on such returns, either, even if the revenue and easy return are nice.

Turbo tax is telling me I’m about to get hit with a $3k+ tax bill. I got married in 2019 (my income is 130k, hers is 60k) but I didn’t have extra pay withheld on my W4 in 2020. Last year it wasn’t an issue, so what could have changed? We bought a house in 2020, so I would have expected to have a bigger credit from that, not a larger bill? Any help would be great here.

Any tips to work with GDS? They seem spread way too thin and make silly mistakes but it’s because they are working until 2am each day. Hate having to micromanage and be the bad guy
