Hey everyone, I just wanted to share that I've been experiencing racism in the workplace being not only a black women but also a free thinker, 2 contracts have been cancelled due to management being intimidated by my presence. I'm sure this is not uncommon for those who can relate to this experience so I'm slowly transitioning out of the bedside to something where I can have my time back to be more present with my family, I've been looking into tech as well as remote nursing.

Pray. Be led of God. Just the fact that you are there, is its own statement. Racism is an ugly, highly contagious disease. The greatest thing you can do is show them what EXCELLENCE, and perseverance look like.
If this work is the passion of your heart, don’t stop.
Remember Maya Angelou, “and still I rise.”
I know what it’s like to be mistreated, excluded, whispered about and insulted to my face. FORGIVE them, they don’t know they are sick!
ALSO, consider an EEOC Case, or talking to management/ownership at the Highest level.

I so love this response. ❤️

Maya Angelou’s poem "Still I Rise" is an anthem of resilience, self-respect, and unyielding confidence. It explores how marginalized individuals can overcome systemic oppression, racism, and historical trauma by standing tall, maintaining their dignity, and refusing to be broken by the hatred of others

The same has recently happened to me, I'm currently doing PRN for shiftmed. I resigned from medical solutions because of the racism in Southern Illinois, my recruiter was awesome. I made sure I thanked him for all of his support but sadly racism still exist in nursing.

like

Unfortunately my recruiter didn't support me at all, didn't care about my truth nor was I called in to have an actual conversation. The contracts were with a healthcare system and they let me go based off what narrative was told to them, Georgia is an at will state so fighting it wasn't worth the energy what's meant for me will be and I'm sure it will come back full circle. I signed up for shift med and I just found a local contract so one day at a time it's the world we live in no matter where we go, just learning to respond with love instead of my Ego for sure, good luck to ya queen🧘🏽‍♀️

Curious to hear more details though, both for specific DOJ components and other agencies!

Hello Everyone,

I have been working with Kantar (a market research company) for 10 months now. The company has given me permanent work from home. Work is quite good and I am able to learn many things here. Also, my manager is very supportive and patient.
The only thing is about compensation, I have a package of 14 lpa with 6 YOE.
I'm thinking of switching to some company based in Pune.
What should I do?

Is anyone interested in taking over the lease for a top floor 3 bed 2 bath, 1500 SQ ft apartment in a newly built complex in Plaza Midwood? The lease runs through Sept 2023. It's one of the nicest complexes in the city, has close proximity to Uptown, and has excellent amenities (e.g. CrossFit style gym, two pools, dog park, on site complimentary cafe, etc.). My unit has an ideal layout for work from home and a huge patio.

Edit: $3,196/mo including valet trash pickup ($35) and pest control ($4)

I’m a young(ish) male running a private practice. Been with the group a year and a half and haven’t exactly gelled with some of the older employees. Thoughts?
