I just started a new job in TA. For the first time in a long time I won't be looking for tech profiles but mainly B2B Sales and Sales Management.

As I start my sourcing, I feel that I have more difficulties finding profiles in sales than I had in tech.

Did anyone else experienced the same thing while transitioning from tech to sales positions?

Is breaking into equity research/coverage teams as hard as breaking into traditional advisory/M&A IB being from a non target school with a non finance degree?

I’m in tech consulting right now & would be interested to explore areas that it intersects with law besides cybersecurity. Does anyone have any suggestions? Always been interested in law school.

Is it difficult landing an in-house position as only a second year corporate associate in big law? I know some people who went in-house straight out of law school and some who had no transactional background but went in-house after just a year of practice. Not having that same luck on my end.

Got a temp offer for less than a year without promise of turning into full-time. Wanted to know what ppl think about temp jobs (looks bad on resume if I don't turn full-time later within the company?) and what comp should look like (e.g. 1.2× of regular comp?).

Got another perm offer in a different industry for similar salary, but I might have to relocate and I'm concerned the work may involve translation instead of pure legal work.

Hello! I’m currently a Administrative assistant now working at a major medical system in Baltimore. I’ve previously worked for 10 years as a medical assistant in a variety of specialties and primary care. Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit stuck as to my next step. Part of me want to go into management, another part is saying go get your RN, and the other is saying go into Social Work. I’m all over the place. Any ideas? I'm in a litigation, about 9 months in. Is it normal that I spend majority of my time making bundles for my partners (printing, binding, moving docs in a different order whenever there are new documents or he wants to add stuff) reviewing documents and making tables (e.g. dates, which documents are from where), and the only legal work is like notices of admission, list of documents, the occasional research? I'm so bored and I want to quit but I don't know if I have unrealistic expectations.

Has anyone here moved from a high COL coastal city to low COL midwest/southern city and ended up completely hating/regretting it? If so, what do you wish you had known?

I’ve noticed that even when I include a specific request or call to action, that my emails receive a response less than 50% of the time.
